Oak Creek: Revisited

Back in the day when I was just a photographer on this site, back in high school, I went to Oak Creek Canyon with my photography class. I took this photo there: [link] , as well as a bunch of prints, and ever since I've wanted to go back when I was able to be on the other side of the camera.

Since Oak Creek Canyon is a REALLY popular hiking trail, Ray and I had to meet up at 3am, drive up there and start shooting as the sun was rising. There wasn't a soul around and it was amazing. We even ran into a doe that just stood there less than 20 feet from us. I regret not getting closer to get a photo, but it was still so serene.

Just as we were leaving the first hikers were heading up the trail.
